The Ray F floor lamp was designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2006.

The steel tube structure of this modern floor lamp is welded, brushed and chrome-plated. The diffuser support disk is die-cast, polished and chrome-plated with Zamak alloy. The Ray F in black and white finish has lathe-shaped aluminum diffusers which have been painted white on the inside. The grey glass diffuser is hand-blown overlaid glass with a glossy external finish. The lamp has a resistive dimmer wired on the cord for a 0-100% light adjustment. The power cord is a black PVC/PVC (flat) sheath.

The Ray F floor lamp emits diffused light. It comes in two models and is available with outer diffusers (shades) in black, white, grey glass:

Ray F1: 50.39” x 14.17” (shade height - 8.66”)

Ray F2 :67.59” x 16.92” (shade height - 10.62”)

Inspiration Behind the Design:

Rudolfo Dordoni works with the classic drum shape and modifies it to a contemporary form resembling that of a lighthouse. "The stand that supports the light source is an elementary "structure”, part lighthouse, part power pylon.” - Rodolfo Dordoni
